THE FOUR SEASONS OF FERNIE

This beautiful town has something for everyone in every season. Fernie attracts skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobilers in the winter with its dry powder; while in the summer, it’s a superb spot for hiking, mountain biking, fly-fishing, and rafting. Despite its ever-growing popularity with tourists, Fernie retains a low-key appeal and a small town charm.

THE GRIZ DAYS

Fernie is a town of celebrations with festivals and parties all year round! One of such major celebrations is The Griz Days. The annual Griz Days Festival is Fernie's biggest event, encompassing the entire community from Fernie Alpine Resort to the Provincial Park to the Highway and Historic Downtown Fernie. The town comes together to celebrate a local legend- “Griz” whose story embodies the resilience and strength the community stands for.
